Peak Education Center is a private learning center started in 2005 in Northern New Jersey. We are dedicated to helping prepare students for academic and social success through dynamic and effective approaches to learning.

We work with both parent and student to ensure success beyond achieving high grades. Our programs are designed to help students gain self-confidence by learning study skills, reading and writing strategy, and critical thinking skills.

Kay Kim

Director Kay Kim's long term commitment has included educating Korean families to understand the American educational system thereby optimizing success in both school and society. Additionally Korean parents have learned transitional techniques to support their children as they navigate the American culture and "way of life".

Kay's commitment does not stop there. She has helped educators in the U.S. to better understand Korean families and their culture. Whether it be as a four term elected school board member, columnist, motivational speaks and parent of three children, Kay has been an advocate for other parents and students.

Her commitment, charismatic attitude, and quiet excellence has made her a role model for women everywhere. Kay has often been sought out for her expertise, both in the United States and Korea. Kay has coordinated and facilitated numerous projects with SOME (Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education) and broadcasting companies such as KBS, MBC, Edaily News). She has also been featured in a EBS documentary and regularly appears as a newspaper columnist educating parents both in the U.S. and Korea, those far and near.

Her clear mission has always been promoting a mutual understanding of Korean and American cultures through Excellence in Education.

Director & Instructor

Paul Lee

Paul Lee is a professional tutor who has successfully taught over 2,000 students for the past 20 years in a range of subjects including the SAT, ACT, English, math, college application essays, and writing contests. He is a Yale graduate and winner of numerous essay contests.

Paul has mentored thousands of students to achieve their academic goals.

He has increased old SAT scores 300-500 points, new SAT scores 150-300 points, and composite ACT scores 4-8 points.

He has raised math and English grades from C’s to B’s and B's to A's.

Under his guidance, students have written college application essays that contributed to their acceptances into Harvard, Yale, UPenn, Cornell, West Point, and dozens of other prestigious universities.

For a select few gifted writers, he has coached them to win prizes in a variety of writing contests including the prestigious Scholastic Art & Writing Awards.
