Kay Kim
Kay Kim's long term commitment has included educating Korean families to understand the American educational system thereby optimizing success in both school and society. Additionally Korean parents have learned transitional techniques to support their children as they navigate the American culture and "way of life".
Kay's commitment does not stop there. She has helped educators in the U.S. to better understand Korean families and their culture. Whether it be as a four term elected school board member, columnist, motivational speaker and parent of three children, Kay has been an advocate for other parents and students.
Her commitment, charismatic attitude, and quiet excellence has made her a role model for women everywhere. Kay has coordinated and facilitated numerous projects with SOME (Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education) and broadcasting companies such as KBS, MBC, and Edaily News. She has also been featured in an EBS documentary and regularly appears as a newspaper columnist educating parents both in the U.S. and Korea. Her clear mission has always been promoting a mutual understanding of Korean and American cultures through Excellence in Education.
